Dr. Amir Etesam, MD, is a psychiatrist trained at Johns Hopkins and works at Bright Horizons Psychiatry in North Bethesda, Maryland. After earning his medical degree, he decided to focus on helping people with mood and anxiety disorders. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), a prestigious medical honor society.
Dr. Etesam is especially interested in complex medication treatments, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Spravato® therapy. He is certified by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIH) to provide TMS. He currently treats patients with mild to moderate depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD, including those with severe and treatment-resistant cases. He welcomes all patients at Bright Horizons Psychiatry and looks forward to helping them.

Alpha-Stim’s results are cumulative. Many users start with daily sessions and gradually reduce frequency as symptoms improve, 5 days a week - 4 weeks - 40 minute each - Total of 20 sessions.
Most users feel relief from anxiety after their first treatment. You can use Alpha-Stim as needed or on a regular basis, such as daily or every other day.
Improvement in sleep can occur after just one treatment, though it generally takes 2 to 3 weeks for noticeable changes. In some cases, 2-3 treatments per week over a month may be necessary.
Depression symptoms typically require several weeks for significant improvement, although some may experience relief sooner.
While many users gradually decrease treatments, there is no risk of overuse. Continue using Alpha-Stim as often as needed or desired.
No, you do not need to use Alpha-Stim daily for life, but you may choose to do so if it continues to benefit you.
